Durrett was elected a new member with Dykema effective January 1, 2019. Durrett is a Board Certified oil and gas attorney in Dykema’s Corporate Finance Practice Group. He maintains a diverse upstream industry practice focused on identifying and solving problems his clients encounter in the exploration, development, operation, production, sale, and leveraging of oil and gas properties.

    Ellis has been promoted to Partner in Scott Douglass & McConnico. His trial litigation practice focuses in the energy, medical device/pharmaceutical, and financial services sectors and routinely involves disputes concerning products liability, breach of contract, fraud, securities, real property, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duty, deceptive trade practices claims, and various other consumer-protection statutes.

    Since 2014, he has served on the board of directors to the Texas Young Lawyers Association where he has helped create and execute a wide variety of public service projects. In 2018 he was elected to serve as the District Representative for District 25 (South/Central Texas), to the American Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division. He was recently elected to the 2019 Executive Board for the Boy Scouts of America Capitol Area Council.

      Grant joins Jackson Walker’s Wealth Planning, Probate, & Trust practice as a trust and estate strategist working closely with clients to counsel them through the optimal creation, use, and coordination of estate planning vehicles and techniques, including trusts, family-owned entities, charitable planning, and various disposition matters. In her practice, Grant regularly corresponds with and counsels clients on trust administration practices, including assisting co-trustees in carrying out fiduciary duties and assisting in trustee succession planning, governance processes, and trustee appointments and resignations.

      “We are excited to work with Kal to provide our diverse clientele with strategies for building and transferring wealth to their family and to their community,” Wealth Planning Chair Sam K. Hildebrand said. “Her many connections, strong community involvement, and experience in the wealth planning industry will make a great addition to the Firm.”

        Greene joined Butler Snow’s Memphis office. She focuses her practice on health care transactions and regulatory matters. In addition, she advises clients on health law matters.

          Hickman has been elected and will serve on Sprouse Shrader Smith’s 2019 Executive Committee.

          Hickman is a real estate and business attorney with deep experience in negotiating and drafting contracts including real estate purchase and sale agreements, loan and securities documents, oil and gas leases, and construction agreements. He is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Texas.

            Jensen has been elected and will serve on Sprouse Shrader Smith’s 2019 Executive Committee. In addition to serving on the firm’s executive committee, Jensen will serve as the firm’s president.

            Jensen is a litigation attorney with over 20 years of legal experience. Jensen represents clients in commercial and personal injury litigation relating to oil and gas, power and utilities, water, and condemnation/eminent domain. Jensen has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters since 2014 and was recognized as Texas Super Lawyers’ Rising Star prior to that time. He currently serves on the board of directors for Hidden Falls Ranch Christian Camp and the Amarillo College Foundation.

                    Riley was named president-elect of the Bexar County Women’s Bar Foundation for 2019. In her practice with Dykema, Riley is a commercial litigator who advises clients with matters related to all stages of pretrial and trial work in state and federal court.

                        Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Stretcher to the Eleventh Court of Appeals for a term set to expire on December 31, 2020, or until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified.
