On Friday, March 1, 2019 the Estate Planning and Community Property Law Journal, led by Executive Symposium Editor Meg McIntyre and Editor-in-Chief Alexandra Jones, hosted the 11th Annual Estate Planning and Community Property Law Journal CLE and Expo.
Nationally recognized estate planning practitioners and professors from across the United States spoke on topical estate planning issues such as the tax ramifications of cryptocurrency, estate administration claims, parentage issues arising from same-sex marriages, and a “view from the bench.” The program also included updates on current legislative and judicial trends.
Over 120 individuals attended the seminar including attorneys, academics, students, judges, personal financial planners, bank officers, CPAs, and other estate planning professionals. Participants received 6.75 Texas CLE and CPE hours, including 1.25 ethics hours.
Special thanks to Professor Gerry W. and Margaret Beyer for helping the EPJ plan and host this great event each year.
The EPJ plans to host the 12th Annual Estate Planning and Community Property Law Journal Symposium next year on February 28, 2020.
