Texas Tech Law lost one of its own when Professor Jim Eissinger passed on July 12, 2017.
He joined the Texas Tech School of Law faculty in 1972. During his tenure at Texas Tech Law, he served as associate dean from 1999 to 2002, and was interim dean from 2002-2003. He also taught part time as a professor emeritus through 2016.
Jim received several Outstanding Law Professor Awards from his students and was famous for his ever-expanding chalk-board diagrams explicating the whole of constitutional law. He will be missed. His obituary can be found online.
