The first female Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps general officer was the keynote speaker for the Huffman Distinguished Lecture Series. Dunn presented on “Speaking Truth to Power & Other Thoughts on Leadership in the Law.”
Malinda E. Dunn, American Inns of Court Foundation executive director, served for more than 28 years in the United States Judge Advocate General’s Corps, retiring as a as a Brigadier General. Dunn served as the Assistant Judge Advocate General for Military Law and Operations. She also commanded the U.S. Army Legal Services Agency and served as Chief Judge of the Army Court of Criminal Appeals. While serving as the first female staff judge advocate of the XVIIIth Airborne Corps, she had tours of duty in both Afghanistan and Iraq. General Dunn was also the first female staff judge advocate of the famed All-American Division—the 82nd Airborne.
