Nearly 100 friends of Texas Tech Law gathered in the Forum on December 16 for the Holiday Open House.
Sponsored by Field, Manning, Stone, Hawthorne & Aycock P.C., the law school welcomed faculty, staff, students, alumni, and Texas Tech University leaders to celebrate the holidays with seasonal staples: hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and conversation.
Stephen Stone, partner at Field, Manning, Stone, Hawthorne & Aycock P.C., said that the law school has been “a tremendous asset” to his firm for a number of years. “We routinely hire law clerks from the school that are bright and capable,” said Stone. “In addition, a number of our attorneys are Tech Law grads who are an indispensable part of our firm.”
Carolyn F. Moore (’79), one of the 2013 Distinguished Service Award recipients to be honored at the law school’s 10th Annual Gala in March, noted that she rarely misses a law school event.
“Texas Tech Law offers a strong pillar of support to its alumni, and as its alumni, we should do everything we can for our law school,” said Moore. “Just to see one another and reconnect as classmates and colleagues is very important, especially around the holidays.”
